[Word 2002 sp3] Paginanummer printen niet goed

Ik ben momenteel bijna in staat om mijn pc het raam uit te gooien.
Wat is het probleem?

Ik heb een document gemaakt in Word bestaande uit 3 secties. De eerste sectie bevat de voorkant en de inhoudsopgave, de tweede sectie de tekst (inleiding t/m conclusie), de derde sectie de bijlagen.
Nu heeft de eerste sectie geen kop- en voetteksten, de overige twee wel. De derde sectie heeft geen paginanummers in de voettekst.
Nu heb ik aangegeven dat het tellen van de pagina's op de eerste pagina in de tweede sectie (inleiding) moet beginnen. Het formaat van de tekst is:
Pagina # van ##
Het aantal pagina's in deze tekst is 'sectionpages'.

Dit werkt prima op het scherm en in het printvoorbeeld.
Ik krijg netjes:
pagina 1 van 10
pagina 2 van 10
pagina 3 van 10
enz.

Precies zoals het hoort.

Als ik vervolgens print staat er:
pagina 1 van 1
pagina 2 van 2
pagina 3 van 3
enz.



Het maakt niets uit of ik voor het printen mijn velden update of niet de uitkomst blijft hetzelfde.
Hoe los ik dit op?

Ik heb nooit WdXP gebruikt dus weet het niet zeker; is SP3 de laatste SP en heb je alle vervolg patches geinstalleerd? Zou kunnen helpen.

Reversing the print order (under Tools + Options + Print)


Works for almost everyone but is a major pain. If your printer has its own “reverse print order” hardware setting, you can, in effect, reverse twice, thus saving yourself the trouble of re-collating; but this is hardly practical if it's a network printer.

Reversing the print order is a boon to users whose printers output face up (and hence in reverse order), but such users usually already have that option set and consequently don't experience the Page X of Y problem to begin with!

Switch into Print Preview and back, twice if necessary. Make sure you have the “Update fields” option checked on the Print tab of Tools | Options


Works for some but not practical in a corporate environment – it's too easy to forget to do it.

In addition to (2)., try clearing the check box for “Background printing” on the same tab.


Works for more people than (2) on its own.

Some users report that hiding nonprinting characters (toggle the Show/Hide button to Hide) helps


Same comment as (2).

Instead of using a NUMPAGES field, use a PAGEREF field that references a bookmark at the very end of the document.

Or if you're using the SECTIONPAGES field, replace each with a PAGEREF field that references a bookmark at the very end of that section.


You need an amazing level of self-discipline to remember to redefine the bookmark's position whenever you add any text at the end of the document or section.

Write an Add-in that intercepts the FilePrint and FilePrintDefault commands and implements (5). automatically.


For a corporate environment, this was really the only practical solution prior to the release of Service Release 1.

Ik heb stap 1 t/m 4 uitgevoerd en het gaat nu goed.

Ik heb overigens alle updates, heb net nog even gechecked.
Jammer dat MS het niet gaat oplossen, terwijl er wel al een naam voor is:

When you use the "Page X of Y" AutoText in your header or footer, and it seems to work okay, but when you re-open or print the document, you see "Page 1 of 1," "Page 2 of 2," and so on, you have the "Page X of Y" bug.
