Following legal advice it would appear that it would be of very doubtful legality for us to continue selling Alcohol 120%.

Therefore we have decided to terminate all such sales and activity effective from today the 30th of June 2004.

Whilst taking this advice we were also advised to warn any of our visitors who have downloaded software that circumvents copy protection that any use of the software may now be illegal in your country following wide reaching recent changes in the law in the USA and throughout the EU. Because it is a complicated matter we advise you to seek your own legal advice to satisfy yourself as to the legality of all your software if you have any concerns.

We are sorry that we have had to take this action and can assure you that we are now working on a number of exciting new software products to help you make the most of your computer which won't hopefully involve complex legal problems and we will be launching them on our site in the coming weeks.

Dat je illegaal kopieert, ja dat is wel erg (maar daar gaat dit niet om).
Ik vind het veel erger dat ik in de toekomst dus niet eens mijn eigen gekochte cd's mag rippen en mounten om zo de cd te sparen.

Nadat clonecd is overgenomen is er niet echt vooruitgang geboekt:
de laatste versie is al weer bijna een half jaar geleden

Heel scherp tweakkuiken. Alcohol-soft.com is de echte en staat ook geregistreerd op naam van het echte softwarebedrijf. Alcohol-software.com is regged op naam van een of ander web-bedrijf, dus dat vind ik al heel wat minder geloofwaardig

Alcohol soft have not posted this message on the old sales site, unfortunately the company who were hosting our sales "Fubra" have done this in some form of vendetta against us for not renewing their contract, however you can rest assured the sales site will be up and online at www.alcohol-soft.com within a short space of time.

Ik kan er ook niks vinden over het eventueel stoppen. Ook niet in de User Forums van Alcohol-Soft.

En als daar zulke zaken als sticky staan:

I have noticed a few users who are replying to posts sarcastically almost accusing people of piracy. They make comments like "If you made the image yourself you would have noticed it was on a CD and not a DVD!" Well the truth of it is, not everyone is a guru when it comes to this stuff. Some people are going to make mistakes, and the posts they make might look fishy, but are not always indications that they are pirates. I have warned a few users about this already. Personally I think that we need to stop this behavior or we will only piss off legit future customers. Sometimes they are probably right when it comes to those fishy posts, but I think that it is the Mods and Admins jobs to search out those posts and deal with people. It is one thing when someone comes on and says "I downloaded this game from the Internet" and could mean another thing when they say "I downloaded the image to the Hard Drive" I have seen many people who use that phrase to mean they made the image to the hard drive. That was just one example... But we do not need these users attacking other "Newer" users when they make an honest mistake. Just think we need to keep our eyes open and deal with this issue a bit better. In the future if users suspect a post they can contact an Admin or Mod and we will deal with it.

Nu gaan die lui van Alcohol-soft toch wel zeker een rechtzaak starten wegens smaad/laster van de naam/product "Alcohol 120%". Ze noemen het met name die honden en houden ook de klantgegevens achter...

Ze gaan in ieder geval wel het domein proberen terug te halen: "As for what will happen to the old domain name i am unable to say at this time, as this is in the hands of our legal department."
