[2000] Windows Software in control panelwerkt niet meer*

Sinds kort kan ik op de computer van mijn vader niet meer in het bekende software schermpje komen van windows.

OS: Windows 2000 Pro

Ik heb al Norton Antivirus 2004 met de nieuwste updates en heb Ad Aware (die misschien de oorzaak hiervan is?) ook al een paar keer gedraaid.

Als je het software schermpje opent dan krijg je een blanco pagina..
Ik heb voor de duidelijkheid een screen dumpje gemaakt...

In the Command window, type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.

A Windows File Protection window appears, displaying the progress of the file system scan.

NOTE: You may be prompted for your Windows 2000 CD-ROM. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then click Retry.
After the scan has completed, remove the Windows 2000 CD-ROM from the disc drive, and then restart your computer.

Heb dit gedaan zoals Microsoft het beschrijft en het werkt nog niet

Kleine titel edit zodat het OS in je topic titel staat. Verder lijkt het er op dat je nog SP3 draait - probeer eens naar SP4 te gaan?

Ik heb zojuist gekeken... er is gewoon Service Pack 4 geinstalleerd... staat er dus al op Maar aan die link te zien zou je zeggen dat SP 3 erop staat heh...

Enig idee?

welke IE versie heb je geinstalleerd staan?
Ik heb ooit eens op een win2k install (sp1 toen nog) iets gelijkwaardigs gehad toen m'n scripting componenten over de pis waren gegaan.
uiteindelijk heb ik (destijds) IE 5.5sp1 eroverheen gezet waardoor ook scripting weer werkte (en dus ook control panel .hta's).

Probeer eens een repair van IE6sp1, of install wsh5.6 opnieuw.

Dit zou de oplossing moeten zijn :

If the Add/Remove Programs applet does NOT open, or flashes briefly, you may have some missing registry entries.

To fix the problem:

1. Open a CMD.EXE prompt.

2. Type regsvr32 mshtml.dll and press Enter and OK.

3. Type regsvr32 shdocvw.dll -i and press Enter and OK.

4. Type regsvr32 shell32.dll -i and press Enter and OK.

Spijtig moet ik zeggen dat het van voskewarez ook niet heeft geholpen... op de site heb ik nog wel het 1 en ander geprobeerd wat overéén kwam met mijn probleem maar ook dat hielp niet...

Mijn vader heeft IE 6.0...

If that does not work then try repair using the Win2K CD. You will need to change the booting order of your computer. When you start up your computer, press the Delete key (sometimes it is F2 or F5) and a BIOS screen will appear. There you will be able to change the booting sequence to CDROM being first.
