Windows 98 SE zegt steeds: u kunt uw computer uitzetten

Ik heb net een 2e partitie gemaakt met partition magic 8, alles werkte totdat ik de volgende dag mijn pc opnieuw opstartten en met bootmagic naar windows 98se ging om ff een oud spelletje te doen. Ik krijg gewoon het normale win 98 scherm als ie aan het opstarten is, maar nadat het scherm eventjes zwart werd kreeg ik de melding: U kunt nu uw computer uitzette.
Ik ben nog niet eens in het windows zelf gekomen dus ik denk dat het een foutje in windows is .
maar hoe verhelp ik dit?
owja alle updates van windows 98 SE zitten er op en heb voor de rest alleen norton antivirus 2004 en me nvidia display drivers geinstalleerd.
op de andere partitie staat Windows XP Proffesional.

PC specs (voor zoverre dit nodig is)
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2,0 ghz)
512 mb ram
Geforce FX 5900XT (Club 3D)
40 gb hd
30 gb hd
dvd brander (NEC)
52 speed cd speler (LG)
3oo watt voeding (no name)

Volgesn mij moet jij lezen want hij wil nie dat die vanzelf uitgaat !! Hij wil in windows komen. Als hij de PC opstart met windows 98 dan krijgt hij dat scherm te zien en niet windows zeld

yeps k krijg dus niet de desktop van windows 98 te zien nadat ik een zwart scherm heb gehad staat er gewoon : U kunt nu uw computer uitzetten
