[Windows Update] font aangepast?

Was net een critical update aan 't downloaden toen ik pas las waar hij voor was...



Weet iemand waar dit over gaat?

Ik zou zeggen, laad charmap.exe, vergelijk de 2 fonts en vertel het ons

The unacceptable symbols were a Swastika and a Star of David.

Description
This update will remove two swastikas included in the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font. From the Microsoft support document, it is hard to guess why this patch is needed. Here is what they say: 'This item updates the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font included in some Microsoft products. The font has been found to contain unacceptable symbols. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.'

In case you missed the news or had trouble understanding the issue thanks to the vague language in the support document, this problem lead to a statement and apology from Microsoft Senior Vice President, Steven Sinofsky (December 2003): 'Microsoft has learned of a mistake in the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font included in the Microsoft Office System client applications. Due to an unintentional oversight, we failed to identify, prior to the release, the presence of two swastikas within the font. We apologize for this and for any offense caused.'

Beetje raar trouwens dat men die update bij de critical updates neer plempt..
In veel landen is de swastika een teken van geluk...

zal wel weer een bekrompen amerikaan hebben zitten klagen.

Denk eerder dat het een Jood was...
Maar goed, inderdaad voordat Hitler het tot "zijn" symbool om doopte was dit een symbool van een of andere gemeenschap uit 't oostblok gedeelte.
