[Moederbord] Muziek probleem (nouw niet echt)

-P200 MMX
-64mb ram pc100

-Western digital caviar hd (3.2gb)
-Sis 6326 4mb pci videokaart
-3DFX VooDoo 2 12mb
-Std. 5.1 geluidskaartje
-Sitecom 100mbit kaartje
-Sk-2500 multimedia toetsenbord
-Floppy-drive
-24x cd-rom drive
-15'' monitor
-Optische typhoon muis met scrollwieltje
-Os = Win2000 sp4 alle updates
Tja, dit zijn nog us spec's die je niet gouw tegenkomt in PMG. Dit is natuurlijk niet mijn main pc, dit is een oude bak.

Het probleem:
Tja, ik moet zeggen ik ontdek het vanmiddag voor het eerst. Oke, als ik de "reset" knop van me p200 indruk hoor ik muziek. Dit heb ik eerst nooit gehad, snap niet hoe het kan. Iemand enig idee hoe het kan?

Neej, hij doet het zelfs in de bios dus.......
Maar het hoeft ook niet echt opgelost te worden, vind het wel leuk. 'T gaat me er meer om te weten hoe dit is gekomen

ff zoeken op Fur Elise en virus levert het volgende op:

to our newer motherboards to warn users of some classes of
hardware related problems. It is a warning system on the
motherboard that plays a warning tune if certain hardware
problems are detected.

Some users hear strange music coming out of the PC speaker and
think they have been hit by a virus - they scan the hard drive
multiple times and reformat it, but it just will not go away.
The user now thinks that they have been infected by a virus
that no virus scanning software can detect today. This is not
the case at all.

The standard alarm/tune/music that they may hear is a
variation on "Fur Elise." Our production motherboards use this
tune whereas pre-production/prototype boards may use other
sound chips....

During normal operation or in Safe mode, your computer may play Fur Elise or It's a Small, Small World seemingly at random. This is an indication sent to the PC speaker from the computer's BIOS that the CPU fan is failing or has failed, or that the power supply voltages have drifted out of tolerance. This is a design feature of a detection circuit and system BIOSes developed by Award/Unicore from 1997 on.

Although these symptoms may appear to be virus-like, they are the result of an electronic hardware monitoring component of the motherboard and BIOS. You may want to have your computer checked or serviced.

Dit bakbeest is wel 6 jaar oud, dus echt newer motherboards kan ik niet zegen. Maar "vroegah" deed ie het nooit & hij heeft geen bios update gehad

ik verwacht dat er iets toch niet helemaal lekker is in je pc...

Ja maar in deze p200 zit geen accu, er zit alleen een bios batterij in (die kan niet leeg zijn, zit er net 4 maand in).
Vet irritant? Ik vind het dikke lol, heb je ook eens wat leuks

Als je de link had gevolgd had je gezien dat het een bericht uit 1997 is. In dit bericht wordt ook expliciet jouw type mobo genoemd (DFI 586ITBD). Tevens staat er een lijstje van mogelijk oorzaken.

de kunst is nu natuurlijk om dat deuntje te tweaken .. bios logotjes zijn te doen .. dit moet dus ook wel lukken op de een of andere manier ..

Ik neem een kijkje. Overigens ik kan geen probleem vast-stellen aan mijn pc, fan's draaien perfect, kort-om niks mis mee. Moek 3d mark 2003 ofzo ff draaien, eens zien of ie dat doorloopt

Mijn Peugeot 605 SV3.0 speelde ook Für Elise als je de lichten aan had en het bestuurdersportier opende...en VALS dat het was!

Dit stond op die link:
Processor related:
1) processor is missing (insert the processor and set the jumpers),
2) processor is not seated correctly (check and be sure the ZIF socket lever is down), or
3) processor has bent/broken pin (fix or replace processor),
4) processor is malfunctioning/bad (replace the processor).

Heatsink/Fan related:
1) processor does not have a heatsink or fan (add a heatsink with fan - all modern processors need it)
2) processor has a passive heat-sink only (add a fan),
3) processor's fan/heatsink simply isn't cooling sufficiently (use a larger or more efficient heatsink/fan), or
4) processor is overheating because the fan stopped (replace the fan/heatsink).

Power Supply related:
1) power supply's voltages do not meet the ±10% specification (use a voltmeter to check the +5V and +12V lines, or change the power supply to a different model/brand/type)
2) power supply's wattage is too low and cannot meet the system's continuous power requirements (use a power/wattmeter to check the system's power consumption, or change to a power supply with a relatively larger wattage, e.g. 250W or 300W), or
3) power supply cannot meet the transient/instantaneous demand, e.g. happens when HDD motor, etc. turns on (use an oscilloscope/DSO to monitor the 5V and 12V lines for/during those transient stages).

Processor related & Heatsink/Fan related is het niet, allemaal gecheck. Power supply related nog niet naar gezien. Ik denk gewoon dat er iets van de Power supply word uitgeschakeld als je de reset knop indrukt.

Yes, it plays music and this is not a virus. So when your hear sound/music from the IPK system, remember to check the processor fan.

Dat is het ook niet, wan't de fan van de cpu zit niet aangesloten via zo'n 3 pin connecter op het mobo. In deze pc is hij aangesloten tussen zo'n molex connector

Dus je mobo heeft niet in de gaten dat er wel een fan draait op je Proc want die checkt je standaart proc. koeler op je mobo

Dat lijkt mij ook het meerst voor de hand liggende.
Ik had hetzelfde probleem met mijn SP97 en Enermax fan.
Zat op molex, heel windows trippen> GEEN CPU FAN etc etc..

op 3 pins aansluiting gezet, et voila.. probeer is ?
