Backup (NTBackup.exe) stops during the backup process and event 8017 is
logged

SYMPTOMS
When you back up your computer's hard disk by using Backup (NTBackup.exe),
Backup may stop responding or may crash, and the following event is logged:
Event ID: 8017
Source: Ntbackup
Ntbackup error: The saved selection file "(path\FileName.bks)" cannot be
found.

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Hotfix Information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended
to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to

Nu is mijn vraag: zijn er hier meer mensen die tegen dit probleem zijn
aangelopen en inmiddels een oplossing hebben?

nee, als ms ziet dat je werkelijk die patch nodig hebt hoef je niet te betalen.
de aanvraag is alleen zo geregeld, omdat ms dan bij kan houden wie de patch nodig heeft en hoe vaak de patch nodig is...

Ook registeerd MS dat jij de patch hebt en krijg je een notification als MS de patch update/upgrade en deze wordt krijg je dan ook weer toe gestuurd.
