[Gezocht] Freeware/open-source Ventrillo / Teamspeak kloon

Zoals de topic titel zegt zoek ik een gratis voice chat programma. Freeware is leuk, open-source natuurlijk altijd beter.

Ik ken Ventrillo,Teamspeak, Roger Wilco maar allemaal zijn het betaalde programma's. Ik wil het programma commercieel gaan gebruiken (niet verkopen), dat houdt in dat ik aardig wat slot's nodig heb (8 voor de gratis Ventrillo is dus te weinig).

Google bracht me niets bij; bestaat dit dan niet?

edit: voor de duidelijkheid: het gaat dus om een ventrillo server, geen client!

Voor een hoster van teamspeak kost het wel geld, of ben ik nu helemaal gek aan het worden? Dus als ik een server opzet waarin 100 mensen gaan zitten idlen ...

Besides a whole new look and feel, one of the key reasons we are developing a new website is to introduce a new billing system for Authorized Teamspeak Host Providers (ATHPs).

* All ATHPs will be REQUIRED to register their company via the new website.

Teamspeak is dan wel niet open source, maar je mag het wel gratis gebruiken. Sterker nog: Bij de meest populaire linux distributies wordt het meegeleverd. Zo zit het in de Gentoo portagetree, en bij Debian in het APT repository.

Het zit overigens niet in APT kom ik net achter. Wat betreft dat verhaal hierboven: Dat is vreemd
Ik heb nooit een EULA hoeven accepteren waarin staat dat het geld kost, zodoende draai ik nog steeds een TeamSpeak server zonder er voor te betalen.

Ik heb de EULA gevonden. Even een quote van het relevante gedeelte:

The 'Software Program' ('Teamspeak Server') is a full freeware to everyone
using it in a completely non-commercial way. Commercial users need to purchase a license to run the "Software Program".
The expression 'commercial use' is defined by the two following points:

- The 'Software Program' is used on hardware that is owned by companies or corporations.
(As well as using the 'Software Program' within the company/corporation or
selling/leasing/renting it to third-parties). There is no difference whether the
'Software Program' is sold/leased/rented or is made available as a service as an independent product, as a part of a
product or combined with any other service/s.
For example hosting the 'Software Program' where customers only have to pay for the network traffic is also commercial use
of the 'Software Program'. Basically every use of the 'Software Program' that is installed on company/corporation owned
hardware is considered "commercial use" even if this service is free (when there is no money transferred to the hoster).

- Individual persons selling/leasing/renting the 'Software Program' to
third-parties are also commercial users. There are no differences to companies or corporations except that individual
persons are allowed to use the 'Software
Program' for their own non-commercial needs absolutely as a freeware.

There is only one exception to the definition of "commercial use" related to using the "Software Program" on
company/corporation owned hardware as described in the points above:
Individuals (not companies, corporations or institutions) that rent hardware at a company especially for using the
"Software Program" and no money transfers whatsoever occur between people that make use of the "Software Program" and rent
the hardware are allowed to do so under this license and fall under the category of non-commercial.
For example: renting a root server from a company and installing the "Software Program" is allowed when there is no money
transfer between the users of the "Software Program" and the person/s that is/are renting the root server (allowing all
people to make free use of the "Software Program").
Companies that allow their customers who are paying for sevices that the company offers (for example game-hosters) to get
shell access to their hardware and allow them to install the "Software Program" are considered commercial users as providing
this service falls under using the "Software Program" as a part of a product or combined with any other service/s.


Commercial users have to purchase licenses, more detailed information about

oude ventrilo server versie en client is gratis.... ik draai hier thuis ook 24/7 ventrilo server, en ik heb limit van 17 man atm omdat meer niet nodig is

Is die oude aan te raden of niet? Bied de nieuwe bepaalde belangrijke opties, kun je me dat vertellen?

Heb je ook een link naar die oude Ventrillo zodat ik die kan testen? Of is het illegaal deze te herdistributeren, en moet ik dus op de een of andere manier plots een oude ventrillo in m'n /overig map vinden op m'n harddisk
