Ik volg precies de README, heb met wget de file linux-wlan-ng gedownload en naar /usr/src/ gekopieerd.
daar tar zxvf linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre20.tar.gz gedaan

Acer Mini USB Adapter (USB-300)

As Acer told me on my request that they would not support any Linux relevant questions, I had to work it out on my own and succeeded.
Due to those circumstances, I advise any linux user not to buy any acer product.

1. Acquiring the module's sources

Goto linux-wlan.org and download at your opinion the appropriate sources.
Personally, I suggest not taking the newest but just a tick older sources. At the time of writing the linux stuff, linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre16.tar.gz was newest and I made some bad experiences with it concerning debug overhead and connection loss. Furthmore, there is an error with hfa384x_usb... but it runs and that's quite enough for the moment.
2. Building the modules

At your opinion, do most or nothing as normal user.

# cd /usr/src
# tar xzvf linux-wlan-ng.tar.gz
# cd modules/linux-wlan-ng
# make config // answer most with "n", select usb, correct kernel source path
# make all
# make install // must be done as root

3. Configuring

Configure /etc/resolv.conf and add your nameserver if necessary.
Edit /etc/network/interfaces. Important for DHCP acquired IP address is the

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wireless_mode managed

In /etc/wlan/wlan.conf set the wireless device to the one you would like to use, e.g. wlan0 and uncomment if necessary the first two lines of the block at the end of file. If you know what you're doing, set your SSID, and copy /etc/wlan/wlancfg-DEFAULT to /etc/wlan/wlancfg-YourNetworkName and edit the newly created file according to your needs. Probably you will have to do nothing.
Now, check /etc/modutils/linux-wlan-ng and uncomment prism2_usb together with adding the device name you chose above. This might be
alias wlan0 prism2_usb

. Don't forget to run 'update-modules' afterwards.
4. Starting

# modprobe prism2_usb prism2_doreset=1
# wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable
# wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid=<your AP's SSID> authtype=opensystem
# ifconfig wlan0 <yourIP>

Alternatively, copy /usr/src/modules/linux-wlan-ng/etc/rc.wlan to an appropriate place and execute it.
Your system's hotplug scripts can also be used to do all that work.
5. Bug hunting

If your system doesn't run for now, try to load the orinoco module and follow the instructions given in /usr/src/modules/linux-wlan-ng/README.

Good Luck!

Seth4Chaos

that's me...

code:
1
BX2000:/usr/src# cd /modules/linux-wlan-ng

komt net overeen met
code:
1
# cd modules/linux-wlan-ng

en daarvoor moet je nog wel even "cd linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre20" typen

je moet dus naar de dir /usr/src/linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre20/modules/linux-wlan-ng en niet naar de /modules/linux-wlan-ng

in die dir moet je "make config" doen

Mistakes are proof that you are trying...

cat /etc/inittab\grep initdefault

id:2:initdefault:

touch /etc/init.d/rc.local
chmod 774 /etc/init.d/rc.local

daarna update-rc.d -f rc.local start 66 2 3 4 5 .

in de rc.local staat volgend

#!/bin/sh
modprobe prism2_usb
wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable
wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid=Acer authtype=opensystem
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wireless_mode managed

in /etc/wlan/wlan.conf staat

WLAN_DEVICES="wlan0"
WLAN_SCAN=n
SSID_wlan0="Acer"
ENABLE_wlan0=y

(mijn ssid=Acer)

in /etc/wlan/wlancfg-Acer
staat
