association jpg

I cannot get windows (2000) to associate a program with a jpg file. How is this possible? Anyone? I can associate de jpg with a program, but the next time I try to open a jpg Windows tells me no program is associated with a jpg file

By the way, did you tick the 'always open jpg with this program' in the popup box windows gives you?

As hunterpro already said. You have to make sure to check the "Always open this filetype with this program" checkbox to make sure that windows remembers which program to associate with that filetype.
And @HunterPro, why would'nt he get much response? I think all t.net users are able to speak english. It's just that they're to lazy to do so

First of all, read some statements and FAQ's @ this forum. They will guide you somehow, and tell you that this is a Dutch forum only. Try to find your answer in the search.

Cuz i'm in a good mood I'll try to help you:

English:
- Is your Windows not hooking up .jpeg files instead of .jpg files. This happens with Windows ME too.
- Maybe you are in a policy that registry changes aren't saved after you close Windows.

Dutch:
- Hangt je windows de extensie .jpeg vast aan het programma dat je kiest in plaats van .jpg? Dit gebeurd namelijk bij Windows ME ook.
- Misschien zit je in een policy dat je registry changes geen effect hebben na het herstarten van Windows.

zelfs als engelsman praat ik liever NL. Volgende keer gewoon de search gebruiken want dit was makkelijk op te lossen
