Hoe configureer ik een src.rpm kernel?

ik heb Mandrake 7.2 (uiterst gelikte distro b.t.w.) en wil deze http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/rawhide/1.0/i386/RedHat/RPMS/kernel-2.4.0-0.43.4.i586.html kernel gaan installeren...
rpm -U kernel.src.rpm ???
Hoe moet ik em configgen dan?

Ok, ik heb bovenstaande gedaan en toen kwam ik hier:

You must create /usr/include/asm-sparc* symlinks first.

Met een src.rpm is het configureren erg lastig. Je moet dan alle build stappen met de hand gaan doen... Je bent veel sneller als je de tar.gz van www.kernel.org download en die installeert.

je moet gewoon geen src package pakken... maar zoiets bijvoorbeeld (2.4.0 voor Mandrake) en dan rpm -Uhv --nodeps kernel-x.x.x.rpm en dan werkt 't prima!
