Eeej gasten, Ik plaats mijn bericht ook even hier omdat veel mensen met het volgende probleem zitten. Ik heb deze dus bij HP forums gezet en daarom is hij engels. Ik heb geen zin om de boel te gaan vertalen.
Hi,
I'f got some good and bad news. 1st i''m totaly new here and my english is not the best (thats bad
).
Everybody knows the wireless problem on the HP Laptops installed with XP Home? The lag when starting up windows? Its takes around 1/2 minuted to get connected to the wireless router/AP. And why do you think.... Why!!!! THE PAIN!! Sorry... i wasn't that happy to.
Ok, When starting up windows somethings load up and then the wireless connection is loading up. This takes around 1/2 minutes and the connection isn't stabile
. Sometimes the commectios is just lost and then find again. If youre laptop doesnt have this problem you are somekind of god and then plz help but anyway;
I sold 5 HP Pavilion laptops and all the 5 laptops have this problem. Different typs of laptops and tested it with diffents ap's and routers. ( ap = accespoint)
Sollution! for slow restart.
1st. go to. start -> run -> then typ "msconfig"
2nd. Go to services and all the way down it says: "wireless zero configuration-service" You need to shut it down.
3th. Dont use DHCP. If you use it you wont have any connection at all. Use a static IP and fill in the gateway.
4th. restart the laptop and it will take about 10 sec's now. (still some lag but its MUTCH faster)
Solution for stabile connection.
1st. There is no solution yet, i called HP some times and they know about this problem. Its in the XP Home editon deliverd with the laptop. Hp and i are still finding the solution. 1 solution we currently have is installing windows xp proffesional. This must works (almost sure 80%)
Thats it, good luck. If you have more solutions plz reply
Greets,
ps. HP knows about this problem and it really is in the XP HOME version deliverd with the laptop
