[Netware 5.1] A critical error has occured

Howdy,

Sinds twee dagen gaat de Netware 5.1 machine hier om 4:10 's nachts op z'n gat. Om deze tijd zou eigenlijk niets moeten gebeuren, maargoed. Op de console staat dan hetvolgende:

Waar kan ik opzoeken WELK proces er nou naar deed? De fileserver is nogal dood na deze melding, dus ik moet het hebben van log files...

Oh, er is in de laatste weken NIETS aan de server veranderd.

Daar vind je de Abended threads. De fout heet namelijk een abend op netware. Post eens een linkje naar de log hier of mail mij de log en ik leg hem je uit.

Klinkt een beetje eng... Een beetje als brak geheugen ofzo?

Het ziet er wel een beetje vaag uit ja. Ik ga ervanuit dat er een hardware probleem oorzaak is. Denk inderdaad het geheugen ja. Welke software heb je draaien? Bijvoorbeeld ook McAfee? (http://support.novell.com...earchtid.cgi?/2943524.htm)

Welke Service Pack heb je draaien van netware? Ook dat wil namelijk wel eens helpen een nieuwere service pack erop plaatsen.

Nu nog SP3... Ik ben van plan asap te upgraden naar de nieuwste (6 of 7?), maar nu nog even niet (liever eerst even een beetje plannen )

Ik heb eerder het idee dat er een probleem met je virusscanner is (Innoculan) en dat je op de site daarvan eens even moet gaan snuffelen of daar bekende problemen zijn icm Netware 5.1.

Inoculan is het probleem. Kijk eens op hun website of er patches beschikbaar zijn. Kijk tevens of er problemen bekend zijn in combinatie met andere paketten.

hmmz, dit lijkt inderdaad aan Incolate te liggen. Ik heb maandag de boel ge-update, inclusief een nieuwe NLM. Beide crashes kwamen door die NLM. Terug naar de oude, en asap de boel updaten dan maar...
