Dat is de file waarop gecontrolleerd wordt, je mist dus de kdelibs-dev als je deze installeerd moet het beter gaan lijkt me.

Wat je fout doet: Lezen (of beter: het 'niet lezen'). Wat je over het hoofd ziet: een zeer duidelijke errormessage die precies zegt wat het probleem is:

Dus of je hebt uberhaupt geen KDE geinstalleerd staan (wat blijkbaar een dep. is van Apollon, wat dat ook is), of je moet aangeven waar het geinstalleerd is (--prefix=/pad/naar/kde/basis/dir).

heb ik volgens mij gefixed door "apt-get install kde-devel" te doen

Ik heb niets aan de .tar gedaan, alleen uitgepakt en meteen make uitgevoerd...

dus ik doe zoals aangegeven in INSTALL `make`
en de output staat hierboven...

Maar die dir apollon/libgift bestaat ook niet...

mm, `apt-get install libgift-dev libgiftproto-dev` will do the trick...

ok, make en make install zijn nu suc6vol doorgelopen...

in de map apollon staat ook een executable 'apollon'. maar deze staat nog niet in /usr/local/bin (ja, ik heb make install gedaan)

Nu gaat dit topic echt dicht. We kunnen je niet bij elke stap aan het handje blijven houden. Afhankelijk van de prefix zou hij ook geinstalleerd kunnen zijn in /usr/bin of ergens in /opt. Dit soort dingetjes zijn absoluut zelf wel uit te vinden.
