[Win95] Winsock2 Setup Error (eigen)

In navolging op JSS advies in [rml][ Win95] Winsock2 Setup Error[/rml] ben ik maar een eigen draadje gestart (sorry JSS, ik dacht juist dat jullie dat wél wilden!)..

Ik heb dus een Win95 pc hier staan met een 3com NIC erin. Die heb ik al geinstalleerd en alles..heel leuk.. wat ook heel leuk is (NOT) is dat het dus niet werkt....
Na ff gesearched hebben vond ik dat het aan Winsock lag.. ff Winsock2 installeren zodat TCP update van versie 1.1 naar 2.0. Goed... downloaden die hap.. op diskette (jaja) zetten en installeren...

Maar dan:
Foutmelding:

Please install the Microsoft TCP/IP network protocol from your Windows95 install disk, then restart setup. If Microsoft TCP/IP is already installed, reboot and run <windows>/WS2BAKUP/WS2BAKUP.BAT te restore your previous Winsock componenets, then reboot and rerun this setup program.

Maar; TCP/IP IS al geinstalleerd... na het verwijderen en opnieuw installeren ervan werkt het dus nog niet... en die ws2bakup.bat word helemaal niet aangemaakt, waarschijnlijk omdat TCP/IP niet goed is geinstalleerd

Edit: hele NIC verwijderen en opnieuw installen haalt ook niets uit...

Nou ik heb het gevonden

click on start choose run at the run command type: regedit go to and find winsock2 at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\services\Winsock2 rename this file to Winsock2.old then close regedit Goto Control pannel \ add and remove programs \ Windows Setup highlight Communications then choose details uncheck dialup networking then apply.... reboot into the dos prompt at the c:\ prompt type c:> windows\ws2bakup\ws2bakup.bat after this runs reboot back into windows go to control pannel then add and remove programs go to Windows Setup highlight Communications then choose details check dialup networking then apply.... reboot system this should take care of your problem this is a cure for win 95, 98, ME

Dit heb ik gedaan, alleen deed hij het toen niet. Toen heb ik Winsock2 weer geinstalleerd en gereboot en nu werkt het
