[Fedora Core1] Soundkaart (Terretec DMX6Fire 24/96) Install?

Ik had opgevangen dat Fedora Linux eindelijk wat gebruiksvriendelijker zou zijn maar ik denk dat ik bedrogen uitkom vrees ik.

Ik heb nu het spul draaien maar nu wil ik muziek afspelen, dus niet, kaart kent ie niet, ik denk geen probleem bij windows moet ik ook effe een setupje downloaden....

Ik dus naar de terratec site, niks te vinden. Ik zoek op google, kom uit op http://www.alsa-project.o...nvy24&module=ice1712#Inst

Een Alsa installatie. Er zit dus een kant en klare how-to bij, DACHT IK.....

You must turn on the sound support soundcore module. This is in the kernel. Look in the sound drivers directory and it should be the first option. Most people enable the module setting. That way you can load and unload the module manually if you have multiple soundcards/devices or if you intend to debug or use cutting edge software which may cause your drivers to halt sometimes. Of course it also means you have more control of your system.

Most modern distros come with soundcore compiled as a module. You can check this in numerous ways. The easiest way is to type.

modinfo soundcore

If this command returns that you have this module, then you don't need to recompile your kernel.

Heel leuk, de "sound support soundcore module" heb ik niet kunnen vinden, staat er ook leuk "modinfo soundcore":

Ik dacht dit het een "QUICK INSTALLATION" was. Nou ik snap er echt geen hout van en een normale gebruiker al helemaal niet.

Is er ook een 'normale' manier om dit ding aan de gang te krijgen want telkens als ik Linux een kansje geef om zich te bewijzen loopt het toch altijd weer stuk op de drivers e.d.

Het is gewoon niet leuk meer .

Daarnaast heb ik een erg drukke baan dus èffies leren hoe Linux van binnen en van buiten in elkaar zit dat lukt me niet maar ik wil graag wel wat ervaring opdoen in het GEBRUIK van Linux.

Ben ik nou dom of zijn jullie zo slim of ik Linux nu zo gebruiksonvriendelijk ?

doe eens een 'lsmod' om te kijken of er wat geluidsmodules geladen zijn.
Als dat zo is moet je /etc/modules.conf aanpassen zoals op de bovenstaande site beschreven staat.

Ja sorry, ik ben niet echt handig volgens mij, alles wat er staat krijg ik command not found op

anders 'locate lsmod' om te kijken waar het staat en daarvandaan runnen
