Changes in the next version of Internet Explorer require a new way to place swf's into a web page.
Some folks just getting into flash design may not be aware
of the microsoft/eolas case.
The bottom line is.... MS lost and has had to modify future releases
of Internet Explorer.
"Users will be able to view embedded content and applications in their present form—until they update their browsers to the future version of Internet Explorer on Windows. The soonest you can expect to see the new browser is early (2004). So, for a while, most users will see everything normally. When users download and install the new browser, on some sites they'll see a dialog box asking for their permission to view each piece of embedded or "active" content."
