We zullen al die andere teams eens een poepie laten ruiken! DPC rules en dat dient iedereen te weten!

Van t UD forum:

On Monday Jan 19th we will be rolling out a new LigandFit task module for smallpox. The same task module will be rolled out for cancer at a later date once we finalize the work that is currently in the system for cancer. Along with the new task module will be a new smallpox protein.

The new task module brings LigandFit up to the current code base for LigandFit. The new binary has many processing improvements, bug fixes, and new features.

No changes where made to the graphics dll. This was done to minimize risk and turn around time of this update. Your task screens/screen savers will show the same information as always. This includes the version number reported. This does not mean that the task module was not updated. You will be able to tell if you have downloaded the new task module and dll combo by the file names on disk. These names will be provided once the upgrade begins.

This update will require no downtime and should cause minimal disruption to agents connecting. A backlog of connections is not expected.

Expect the update sometime after 1600UTC on Monday. A post will be made once the update as started.

Some things I can share about what you will notice about the new task module and the next smallpox protein.


The task graphics dll will remain the same. No changes have been made to it. The version number will still be listed as NT_0.1.5(2814)

The next smallpox protein will us a different energy grid calculation (PLP1). This grid calculates much faster than the previous method (CFF). You will not see the normal 10% 20% 30%... This does not mean it will always be used however. The old method is still valid and useful it was simply decided to use PLP1.

The new protein has a "hit" threshold that reduces even further the number of hits you will see being made. It is ok to see no hits in a workunit. A reduced number of hits will result in smaller result files as well.

Processing times per ligand are "fast". Workunits will contain somewhere around 200 ligands each. Time outs will continue to stay the same but will be adjusted as needed.
