parallel controller, it can only transfer at the parallel controller's

Grofweg gezegd betekent dat dus dat het een "pure" SATA harddisk is. Van grond af opgebouwd als een SATA HDD Veel vroege SATA harddisks zijn namelijk gewoon IDE schijven met een SATA convertertje ("bridge solution" in dat artikel).

De WD Raptor is overigens ook een "native SATA harddisk"

Weet je dat zeker? Ik geloof dat er op mijn WD360GD ook zo een marvel converter op zit. Misschien alleen bij de nieuwe 74 GB?

Ja de eerste Raptor is zeker geen Native S-ATA.
