Ik heb net een gforceIImx van powercolor gekocht en na het installeren van powerDVD en het draaien ermee krijg ik een foutmelding dat de videokaart geen hardwareacceleratie ondersteunt, is dat zo ? Hoe kan je dat, als het er op zit, aanzetten ?

Welke videokaart drivers gebruik je ??

de standaard meegeleverde drivers. Zou het met directx8 te maken kunnen hebben ?

Welke drivers zijn er meegelverd met je videokaart ???
Probeer eens detonator 7.17, schijnt goed te werken in combinatie met DX8

Try the latest (leaked) NVIDIA reference drivers.

Make sure that you are using PowerDVD 2.55 build 0620, as this fixes problems with PowerDVD Hardware Acceleration.

Try disabling Fast Writes. You can read more about how to do this in the 'How can I disable AGP Fast Writes?' question.

After discarding FSAA, I moved on with enjoying my meal. But again I found something to bite on. This time I set to a routine work trying to recover my tasting ability, and installed Cyberlink's PowerDVD (ver. 2.55) bundled under various cloaks with most NVIDIA chip based cards (e.g. ASUS, Hercules and Leadtek). But much to my surprise, I was bound to observe that the DVD-player software could not handle the GeForce2 Ultra chip's hardware Motion Compensation feature with the latest official Detonator 3 driver (6.31).

Sadly, this symptom reappeared in the case of the whole range of the GeForce series. First I thought that this must be a driver issue as MC worked fine with pre-Detonator 3 driver releases. But then I made an attempt with WinDVD, with which everything ran as smoothly as possible. As the lack of hardware MC has a noticeable effect on the quality of DVD playback (as you can observe occasional frame-drops), I do trust that both Cyberlink Corporation and NVIDIA will make their best to fix this annoying issue as soon as possible.

Hou maar op! Heb precies hetzelfde gehad. Ligt aan DirectX8. En dat kun je er niet zomaar afkieperen. Opnieuw (formatteren) en windows installeren en dan werkt het wel.

Heeft het geen zin om alle dx8 keys uit het systeemregister te kiepen ? En er zit een uninstall voor dx8sdk op.

Hij werkt alleen niet onder ME en W2000.

Je kunt trouwens ook gewoon de Hardware Acc. uitschakelen bij PowerDVD en dan doet ie het ook prima (althans, bij mij ).
