The process of preparing programs for a digital computer is especially attractive, not only because it can be economically and scientifically rewarding, but also because it is an aesthetic experience much like composing poetry or music.

Er is een tooltje wat onder Windows draait waarmee je dat kunt achterhalen.
Errug handig als je wilt weten welke users allemaal dat ene bestandje in use hebben.

WhoHasIt 2.2
------------

This is V2.2 of whohasit. The major improvements include :

* Fully 32 bit code throughout
* Command Line version included
* Ability to check multiple files simultaneously
* Ability to clear multiple connections
* Can Close a file for a use rather than just kill their connection
* enable and disable file server logins.

System requirements :
---------------------

Win95 or NT4
Novell provided netware client - The clients provided by MS with 95 and NT will not work.

Optional NLM :
--------------

The package ships with the file whohasit.nlm. This is optional, and there is no requirement
to run it in on your server. The NLM allows the "Close File" functionality to work.
This allows the user of whohasit to close a file without affecting the rest of the users
files or applications.

If the NLM is not loaded, all other parts of WhoHasIt will still work.

This NLM has been tested over a number of months and on a variety of platforms and
the NLM causes no known problems, but try it on a test server first if possible.
It is not possible for us to test every combination of Netware/Patch Level/Hardware/Client Config.

As mentioned above, the NLM is optional. If you are not comfortable with it, don't run it.

Command Line Version
--------------------

WHCMD.EXE is included because of popular request. This is a 32bit command line
program, allowing users of a file to be listed, and optionally cleared.

Multiple File Checking
----------------------

WhoHasIt can now check multiple files at once. Simply enter the path and file spec
of the files you want checked and press enter, or click Check.

eg F:\DATA\DATABASE\*.MDB

The results screens will list the filename as well as the user, so a particular user may appear in the
list multiple times if they have multiple files open

FeedBack
--------

There are no known issues with these programs at the time of release, so we
would appreciate feedback on any problems/issues/suggestions people have.
