• MP3 Playback - Playing MP3 Music on a Sony DVD player is easy. Just insert an MP3 encoded disc and press MENU. A blue screen pops up to display your folders. de prijs: $179,95 (lijkt me toch redelijk voor een speler met deze capaciteiten)


Zoals hierboven te lezen speelt de speler ook DVD-r/rw en DVD+r/rw af, wat voor mij al een pro is. Graag zou ik horen of jullie dit een goede speler vinden, en zou niet waarom niet, en welke ik beter kan aan schaffen.

Lijkt me een goede speler, goede video DAC (12/108mhz), maar waarom deze in Amerika zoeken, ga je hem importeren of is hij in NL ook te koop?

Niet echt bijzondere specs voor een DVD-speler.
Een cheap-ass DVD-speler heeft ongeveer dezelfde specificaties en is ook regiovrij.
Dat is met veel Sony modellen echt een probleem (niet enkel ff een code invoeren).

Voor echte kwaliteit kom je in een heel andere prijsklasse.
Als geld een rol speelt, dan kan je net zo goed een goedkopere speler kopen want subliemen kwaliteit koop je met Sony voor dit bedrag niet. Wel is de afwerking uiteraard wat beter dan een speler van 50 euro. Ook is de geluidsproductie vaak een stuk minder.

Waar bazeer je dat op? Een cheap-ass speler met een 12bit/108mhz dac? dacht het niet.

Daarnaast heeft hij ook gewoon 192/24 Dac's voor muziek en gewoon een coaxiale uitgang wat het DD/DTS signaal echt niet verprutst ofzo.

€179 voor een DVD-speler met die specs én een 5 cd wissellaar is een koopje, helaas dat je hem in Amerika moet halen.

Dat is inderdaad een nadeel Play, ik heb ook nergens kunnen vinden wanneer deze naar Europa komt. Maar als ik een goede DVD speler wil waar ik over een tijdje een A/V-receiver bij kan kopen voor goed geluid (ik sluit hem nu nog gewoon aan op mijn stereo, maar wil er later nog wel een mooi audio setje bij kopen) dus daarom wil ik nu wel een goede kwaliteit dvd speler hebben.

Waar moet ik nu dus opletten bij de aanschaf van een speler? (uitgangen, dts/dd enz?)
