Op deze derde kerstdag ben ik druk in de weer met het mailprogramma EZMLM. Dit programma is een programma welke maillijsten bijhoud en over de lijsten e-mail kan distributeren.
Nu is dit programma zo opgezet dat je eerst een mailtje moet sturen naar "maillist-subscribe@domain.com" en dan een bevestiging krijgt op dat adres. Zo'n bevestiging ziet er dan (bijvoorbeeld zo uit):
Daar waar **** KNIP ***** staat, is het oorspronkelijk ontvangen bericht, inlcusief header, geplaatst. Dit is natuurlijk gedaan zodat de ontvanger van het e-mail bericht kan zien wie hem of haar heeft opgegeven voor de maillist. Maar ik vind het nogal wat "gurulike" eruit zien. Stel je voor, een simpele tiepmiep die dit bericht ziet schrikt zich een hoedje.
Ik ben op de hoogte van de mogelijkheden om de meldingen aan te passen, dus de inhoud van het "bevestig je email"-bericht, maar ik heb tot nu toe nog geen manier ontdekt welke het mogelijk maakt om het zogenaamde
"Enclosed is a copy of the request"
weg te laten uit het bericht.
Mijn hoop is op dit moment dan ook even gevestigd op de expertise van de GoTters. Kent iemand dit, of weet iemand waar ik de oplossing kan vinden, ik hoor het graag. (ik heb search gebruikt, evenals de EZMLM handleiding).

Some mail programs are broken and cannot handle long addresses. If you cannot reply to this request, instead send a message to <nieuwsbrief-request@lacaleche.nl> and put the entire address listed above into the "Subject:" line.
