Verschil tussen Adaptec 2930 en 2940?

De 2940 Ultra SCSI kaart schijnt een goeie stabiele SCSI kaart te zijn maar de winkel (verplicht, PC-Prive) heeft alleen de 2930 Ultra SCSI.

Kan iemand mij vertellen wat het verschil is en of ik toch beter een 2940 kan proberen te vinden. Op de Adaptec site kan ik geen verschillen vinden. Op de Suse hardware support page was te vinden dat de 2940 een AIC-7850 chipset heeft en de 2930 een AIC-786x chipset. Aan het lagere type nummer te zien zou ik zeggen dat de 2930 iets mist ten opzichte van de 2940; maar de chipset heeft weer een hoger nummer...

Ik wil er overigens alleen CD-ROM/RW's aan hangen en goede support onder Windows en Linux. En nee, ik wil een Adaptec en geen NCR

Zelf heb ik een 2930CU met daaraan een Plextor UltraPlex 40x CD-ROM en een Plextor W8220T brander. Onder Windows NT 4.0 en nu onder Windows 2000 draait dit perfect.

Met branden onder Linux met deze combinatie heb ik geen ervaring.
