Mandrake 9.2: geen NIC

Ik draai sinds kort Mandrake 9.2, en heb een onboard NIC (van nvidia, heb een nforce 2 chipset). Als ik mijn netwerk wil configureren, dan zegt ie dat ik geen geconfigureerde interface heb. Okee, maar het gekke is, is dat hij hem wel detecteerd en hij staat ook gewoon in het lijstje bij system. En toch blijft hij maar zeggen dat ik geen geconfigureerde interface heb.... Heb ook al een tweede netwerkkaart geprobeerd te selecteren, maar de installatie hiervan faalt, helaas. Ik heb ook al de drivers gedownload van de nvidia site, maar zowel de rpm als de tar.gz geven foutmeldingen. En ook echt foutmeldingen waar je gewoon niet wijzer van wordt. Heeft iemand hier een oplossing voor? Hier zijn de links naar de drivers die ik wil installeren:

De foutmelding die de installatie van de rpm geeft, is dat hij een user, genaamd buildmeister, niet kan vinden. En de foutmelding die tar.gz geeft als ik een "make/make install" geef:

De foutmelding is helder. Lees alles onder ========= en na #error achter elkaar en dan staat er dat je de kernel sources moet installeren.

* moto-moi wijst naar de opmerking van sintaugustinus. Het lezen van foutmeldingen moet je toch echt wel kunnen lukken lijkt me zo.
