locaal netwerk verbinding valt soms uit

Hey Guys,

Ik zit met het volgende probleem af en toe valt mijn netwerk uit en een paar minuten of na een reboot is hij weer terug. Ik heb de volgende log:

Heb je ook naar etc/hosts.allow gekeken en dan met name naar regel 13,14 en 15? Daar klopt ook iets niet.

Bij deze is het verhaal hopelijk opgelost en ligde het mss aan de host.allow echt vaag maargoed.

het gaat hier met name om de regel: eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00 status e000.
Iemand een oplossing? Ik denk dat ik de driver ga updaten...

Helaas, mijn netwerk valt nog steeds regelmatig weg.
Ik heb nu inmiddels mijn 3com kaartje vervangen naar een realtek kaartje.
Nu krijg ik de meldingen van een oversized ethernet frame status 700455e9.

Keb nu inmiddels de mtu aangepast (via de search van got) gevonden en ik krijg de error niet meer. Wel is mijn netwerk al een x uitgevallen, ik denk dat ik binnekort de kabels ga vervangen.

Wat voor ervaringen hebben jullie met soorten nic's onder slackware 8.1?
