Defenitie van meeteindheid 'SAPS'

Misschien dat er hier iemand is die me verder kan helpen.

Momenteel loop ik stage binnen een bedrijf waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van SAP. Momenteel wordt release 4.0 gedraaid op een verouderd HP-UX systeem. Dit systeem moet vervangen worden, aan de hand van de huidige situatie en de gewenste situatie moet er bepaald worden wat voor SAP server er moet komen. Om deze apparaten te kunnen 'vergelijken' kun je het aantal SAPS gebruiken.

Het probleem is nu dat ik nergens een fatsoenlijke berekening of defenitie van deze SAPS kan vinden. Ik wil dit verwerken in mijn stageverslag. Ik kan het wel verwoorden, maar ik zou graag weten wat de exacte berekening of defenitie is.

Hier een voorbeeld van een server waarbij het aantal SAPS is vermeld.

The best-known benchmark is from the Sales and Distribution (SD) component. It simulates a user who creates a sales order with five line items, triggers a goods movement, arranges a delivery, and creates an invoice. SAPS Definition

The SAP Application Performance Standard (SAPS) is a hardware independent unit, which describes the performance of a system configuration in the SAP environment. It is derived from the SD Standard Application benchmark, where 100 SAPS are defined as 2,000 fully business processed order line items per hour.

In technical terms, this throughput is achieved by processing 6,000 dialog steps (screen changes), 2,000 postings per hour in the SD benchmark, or 2,400 SAP transactions.

Fully business processed in the SD Standard Application Benchmark means the full business process of an order line item: creating the order, creating a delivery note for this order, displaying the order, changing the delivery, posting a goods issue, listing orders, and creating an invoice.
