On a K7T Pro the 1.8 bios automatically turns on "bank interleave" (you
can't see this in the BIOS screen but Sandra 2001 reports it in
"montherboard information") when you set the memory timing "by SPD".
This is in my knowledge the first time that bank interleaving has been
inplemented on a K7T Pro and the memory throughoutput bencmarks like Stream
or Sandra 2001 memory benchmark show a very nice performance improvment.
If I set the timing to manual bank inteleaving is turned off.
either way PC133 CAS3 with bank interleave is faster than PC133 CAS2
withouth bank interleave!!!
FPU memory bandwith @ Duron 750 (Sandra 2001, Winodws 2000 Server SP1) :
PC133 CAS3 bank interleave ON : 499 MB/s
PC133 CAS2 bank interleave OFF : 434 MB/s
