Zeer laag volume Audigy 2 Player

Ik heb net een nieuwe computer gekocht met een Audigy 2 Player. Alles geinstalleerd en het werkte prima. Dit was echter van korte duur. In eerste instantie dacht ik dat de geluidskaart helemaal niets meer deed, maar als je goed luistert hoor je heel zwak nog geluid. Weet iemand hoe ik het volume weer op moet krikken naar een normaal niveau???

Dit heb ik al geprobeerd:
- Windows opnieuw geinstalleerd
- Nieuwste drivers gedownload en geinstalleerd
- Verschillende speakers gebruikt
- Kaart in een andere computer gezet; werkte prima!!
- Ander PCI-slot gebruikt
- Alle instellingen nagelopen, ook alle virtuele volume-schuifjes in windows, ook de surround-mixer van creative, ook de volumeschuifjes van bijvoorbeeld winamp, windows media player.
- Creative gesproken.
- FAQs gelezen.
- Verschillende toppics doorgelzen, maar daar wordt nergens een oplossing gegeven.

Config:
Mobo: Gigabyte 8KNXP
CPU: Intel P4 2.8c 800
Mem: Corsair TWINX 1GB PC3200 LLPT
VIdeo: Hercules 3D Prophet 9800 PRO
HD: Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 120 SATA

Ik ben echt ten einde raad. Heeft iemand enig idee hoe ik dit probleem kan verhelpen of heeft iemand ooit hetzelfde meegemaakt?

Ik heb hetzelfde probleem gehad. Bij mij bleek het te komen omdat ik in Real Media Player het geluid zacht (bijna uit) had gezet. Dit komt niet terug in andere settings van Windows.
Ik zou in ieder geval al die dingen (voor zover je dat nog niet had gedaan) doorzoeken.

Probeer anders een die speaker calibratie. Misschien dat er daar een foutje is ingeslopen. (Daar kan je bij via de Creative volume control)

Ongeveer hetzelfde antwoord als The End. Steeds als ik avi files afspeel gooit Media Player 9 m'n volume naar beneden. Als je dat niet door hebt denk je inderdaad: "Wat is er met m'n geluid gebeurd, HELP"

Die multimedia players hebben vreemde trekjes. Kijk daar maar eens naar.

Zijn trouwens je kabels wel goed (lees vast) aangesloten? Dat staat nog niet in je lijst.

als je goed had gelezen had je kunnen zien dat hij dat al heeft geprobeerd.

Dit is het gesprekje dat ik met Creative heb gehad via een chatsessie.
Enkele steekwoorden: wat speel je af, staat het volume vol open, onboard sound uit, welke drivers gebruik je, irq-conflict.
De standaard dingen dus, heb je niet veel aan. Misschien dat irq-conflict, of is dat onzin???

You : How can I check that? I reinstalled the drivers from the CD more than

You : I used a creative program called restore defaults; it gave an error
message, not all settings could be restored.

Zelf denk ik eerder dat het iets met het mobo te maken heeft dan met de kaart zelf. Misschien kan ik eens een andere geluidskaart proberen. Wat zou er mis kunnen zijn met het mobo en dan vooral met de pci-sloten. Daar heb ik eigenlijk niet zo heel veel verstand van.
