[PC] Meerdere installaties NBA Live 2003

Laat ik beginnen met te melden dat NBA Live 2003 draait als een zonnetje op windows XP professional (SP 1a).

Het probleem treedt op wanneer ik meerdere installaties wil uitvoeren op mijn systeem. Je zult je misschien afvragen waarom ik dit wil. Bepaalde mods voor NBA live grijpen nogal erg in in het systeem.

Als voorbeelden noem ik de NBA Live 2003 street patch ^{heeft iemand een mirror?} en de NCAA patch. Voor deze zou ik graag een eigen installatie willen maken.

Om opnieuw een installatie uit te voeren heb ik de exe file (NBALive2003.exe ) hernoemd naar iets anders. Daarna kon ik weer een install uitvoeren.

Ik heb de eerste installatie uitgevoerd op drive C: en de tweede op drive E:. Vervolgens heb ik de NCAA patch geinstalleerd op de versie op drive E:. Dit werkte perfect maar toen ik de versie op drive C: starte was ik alle team art (team logo's etc) kwijt.

Ik weet bijna zeker dat de NCAA patch hiermee te doen heeft omdat deze de team art veranderd. Ik denk dat dit dus niet de manier was om een extra versie te installeren. Ik geloof dat het spel op drive E: de team art en alle andere data eigenlijk van drive E: afhaalt. Misschien komt dit door het register en de verwijzingen daar in?

Iemand een idee hoe ik wel meerdere kopieen installeer op mijn systeem zonder dat de verwijzingen veranderen?

zodra ik m'n cd (nba live 2003) ophaal morgen ga ik er ook mee aan de gang.....alhoewel nba live 2004 over n maand uitkomt --> mooi!!!

helaas, no answer, maareh......speel de nba live reeks al vanaf 1995...

Kan je niet gewoon de hele map van NBA Live kopiëren naar een tweede locatie en daar je mods in installeren? Moet je wel bij de installatie van de mod de juiste locatie aangeven.

* Fuelke heeft op die manier ook twee NASCAR racing 2003 installaties (1 unpatched voor multiplayer tot de server gepatcht is) en 1 met de patch + mods.

Je bedoeld dus gewoon installeren en dan kopieren naar een andere drive/map etc?

Hmmmm, ik probeer het even uit....

Dat kopieren moet de oplossing zijn, ik doet dat regelmatig met games en mods. (F1 Challenge, Quake3, UT etc)

Probleem is als je een game 2x wilt installeren dat hij dan de 2e keer de game wil un-installen omdat hij er al opstaat.
Dus een kopieer slag is dan de enige oplossing, en werk meestal prima.

De support afdeling van EA sports is ook niet echt hulpvaardig in deze vraag.

Mijn originele vraag:

Since some of the patches for NBA live change the appearance of the whole game (e.g. the Rucker Patch, NCAA Patch) I would like to install multiple copies of NBA live. I've tried this already and it kind of worked (after renaming the nbalive2003.exe of the first installation).

I've installed it on drive C: and E: and applied the NCAA patch to drive E:. It worked like a charm, but after starting the 'clean' version on drive C: I've lost all art (team logo's etc). I suspect that the NCAA patch has something to do with this. My suggestion is that this is not the way to install multiple copies since the game on drive C: actually uses the art folders on drive E: (might be a register thing).

Do you have any thoughts in accomplishing this task?

Hun antwoord luidt welke patches ik precies bedoel. Hierop heb ik keurig antwoord gegeven. Nu krijg ik net een mailtje terug met de volgende mededeling:

Toen werd ik een beetje pissig want mijn vraag is wel degelijk voor hun bedoeld omdat het gaat om meerdere installaties van de originele game. Wat ik er dan mee wil doen is mijn zaak en niet die van EA sports:

The question I'm asking has nothing to do with the patches. It is merely a question how I can install multiple copies on my hard drives. This is not a patch issue, but it is related to the original game provided by EA Sports.

I would like to install multiple copies of my original game. (That I'm using these copies for testing purposes of various unsupported patches is my sole responsibility.)

I understand that EA Sports is in no way liable for the crashes of the game if such a patch is applied. Therefore I would never ask support for a game which is patched.

All I want to know is if it's possible to install multiple copies so one can use each copy seperatly. The reason why I want this is not the issue here.
