MicroATX voeding PFC????

Onlangs is de voeding van een computer overleden.
Het betreft een MicroATX voeding van het merk Newton Power Ltd.

Via de volgende website staat beschreven dat mocht een nieuwe voeding in gebruik genomen worden er wel rekening mee gehouden moet worden dat er een PFC voeding gebruikt wordt.

Kan iemand mij vertellen wat dit precies inhoudt, en of dit wel echt nodig is?

Power factor correction. maar volgens mij heeft iedere voeding tegenwoordig PFC

Dat is niet zo. Sinds een korte tijd wel maar vroeger hadden m-atx het niet. De goedkope kasten hebben geen pfc. Vooral de goedkopere voedingen hebben het ook niet.

PFC is tegenwoordig in Europa verplicht. Dus als het goed is hebben alle voedingen dit.

Er zijn echter verschillende varianten. Active en Passive PFC. Active schijnt toch iets beter te zijn.

ik heb hier nog een micro ATX voeding liggen btw.
een Bestec 150 Watt. als je hem wilt moet je t zeggen.
