[Red Hat 9] Alsa drivers installeren

Hey , ik probeerde zojuist de alsa driver 0.9.6 te installeren, maar na alles ( driver , library en utilitys) te hebben " gebuild" wilde ik ze met

code:

modprobe snd-cmipci;modprobe snd-pcm-oss;modprobe snd-mixer-oss;modprobe snd-seq-oss

in de kernel laden, maar ik kreeg de volgende foutmelding

kan dit zijn omdat mn oude OSS drivers nog actief zijn ? zoja hoe schakel ik die uit?

Nee, dan stond er wel 'Device is busy'. Het lijkt er meer op dat je een IRQ mee moet geven aan de module. Kijk eens met cat /proc/pci of je geluidskaart ook daadwerkelijk gevonden wordt.

Doe eens 'modprobe -r cmpci' en daarna 'modprobe snd-cmipci'

Heb je deze instructies gevolgd?

Jah die heb ik gevolgd , maar als ik modprobe -r cmpci doe geeft ie "device is busy"

Mmm... misschien dat je soundcard gebruikt wordt door het systeem? Heb je arts of iets dergelijks draaien? Of een andere sound-daemon?

alles wekrt nu prima eindelijk multichannel....
