nec dvd and via drivers

I have installed a nec dvd burner nd 1300 a on my abit kt7a motherboard and a amd 1000 ghz system.
When i started the winxp pro system it hangs with a blue screen saying: more ip stacks etcetera.
I have downloaded the IDE miniport drivers from nvidia but the blue screens stays. Now i have installed the 4in1 drivers hyperion and the system is giving me no blue screens but i don't know if my nec is working. What i have is a yellow mark in the system panel before the primairy and secondary ide channels.

What can i do about is?
