SCO licentie voor linux: 699 dollar!

Hij ligt ook te meuren in de news submit bak van tweakers frontpage...

Een paar opvallende items in het persbericht van SCO:

- na 15 oktober kost het 1399 dollar
- dit is voor servers, workstations en embedded linux is nog niks over bekend.
- De licentie zegt dat je niet de code mag inzien
- Het geldt voor linux kernels 2.4 en 2.5
- quote: "We have identified numerous files of unlicensed UNIX System V code and UNIX System V derivative code in the Linux 2.4 and 2.5 kernels"

Nah, ik hoop toch echt dat SCO zo hard op zijn bek gaat, en dat hun IP code OS wordt
