Op linux slackware 9 heb ik xawtv geinstalleerd; bttv stond er al in.

modprobe tvmixer
dga uitgeschakelt in XF86Config: Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension

Ik kom niet verder als blauw beeld: In de readme staat:
Ok you have a blue screen: good overlay is working.A blue screen is what you get if the grabber chip has no input signal:
oplossing: pick another video source
ot tuner type is wrong;check de driver configuration.
Dus ik heb nog wat verschillende tuners types geprobeert. De temic 4002 FH5 is
type=0 of type=14 volgens:

en verder, het blauwe beeld komt omdat je op een tv-kaart ook de 'out/in' moet kiezen, dus 0=tuner, 1=svideo, 2=aux (random volgorde, weet de echte niet) en dat moet je aangeven in de configuratie vvan bijv. xawtv. Bij tvtime en mplayer weet ik wel dat het makkelijk kan kiezen.. xawtv nooit gebruikt omdat ik daar altijd gezeik mee had :strip_icc():strip_exif()/u/2269/icon-kerst.jpg?f=community){kind=icon}
