Ik wil twee routers met elkaar verbinden namelijk:
Vigor 2600 en de Vigor 2200X
Dus ADSL met ISDN
Nu worden mij vier protocollen aangeboden namelijk:
1. PPTP
The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) encapsulates Point-to-Point Protocol(PPP) frames into IP datagrams for transmission over an IP-based internetwork. TCP connection (port 1723) is used for tunnel maintenance and GRE(Protocol 47) is used to encapsulate PPP frames for tunneled data. User name and password are used for authentication. Besides,Microsoft provides MPPE for data encryption.
2. L2TP
Layer Two Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) is a combination of PPTP and Layer 2 Forwarding (L2F) protocols. L2TP uses UDP (port 1701) messages over IP internetworks for both tunnel maintenance and tunneled data.
User name and password are used for tunnel authentication.
3. IPSec Tunnel
IPSec provides a mechanism for secure data transmission over IP network, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of data communications over unprotectected networks such as the Internet.
Internet Key Exchange protocol (IKE) ( UDP Port 500) is used for key and security information exchange.
ESP(Encapsulated Security Payload, protocol number 50) or AH ( Authentication Header, protocol number 51) is used to encapsulated IP packet for tunneled data.
4. L2TP over IPSec
Een combinatie van deze twee
Nu heb ik over al gezocht wat nu het beste protocol is ook op dit forum maar een duidelijk antwoord wanneer je wat moet kiezen is er niet!
