Geforce 256 heeft geen beeld na wissel met Radeon 9500 pro.

Ik heb een radeon 9500 pro, maar die heeft allerlei leuke strepen en vreemde vlakken, natuurlijk van alles geprobeert, maar ben al snel van mening dat ie kapot is.

Alvast :

First I'm gonna tell you what I tried to do :

- Reinstalled and tried drivers (catalyst 3.3, 3.2, 3.4 and hercules drivers)
- Changed monitor
- Checked again for old left overs from nvidia drivers (with detonator_rip1_5.exe) and it was all clean
- Put the DCC option out (go to ati CP --> monitor --> options --> DDC on/off)
- Switched between normal VGA output to DVI output (with an tranmitter DVI --> VGA)
- Checked all power cables and change them all lot
- Checked if the radeon was insterted right into the agp slot
- Checked the Radeon fan and it was running as normal
- Put the agp speed on 1x/2x/4x and disabled fast writing
- Changed refresh rate to 60, 75 and 85 and used Radeon refresh lock.
- Read the whole 12 pages on Rage3d (http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthr...ghlight=beating) and tried everything what they suggested

And after all this, I opened my fathers work pc (yeah yeah normally he saids no, but he is on vacation ) and installed the radeon 9500 pro and yep the lines are still there.

And ...
- I did not overclocked it (I never overclock, normally I just buy new stuff, and sell the old)
- I have a 300 watt power supply
- Did not had any changes with hardware since I inserted this radeon.
- Did play 2 weeks with the new Catalyst drivers of Ati (3.4) after removing the old ones very carefully (http://driverheaven.net/drivers/misc.php?page=uninstall)
- And the cart is NEW bought on 7 april 2003, so its 7 weeks old.


So conclusion the Cart is broken and I find out that this beaming (yeah that is it called) is happened a lot with ATI cards and there still no solution or a cause for this problem.

Maar natuurlijk wil ik deze kaart vervangen door mijn oude geforce 256 kaart, eerst heb ik natuurlijk alle drivers verwijdert, daarna herstart, pc uitgezet, kaart verwisseld en bij de boot had ik normaal beeld, tot dat ik winxp laade en toen was het beeld weg. Xp starte normaal op, want ik hoorde wel geluid.

Weet iemand wat ik verkeert doe ??

Ja, ik had daar al gekeken, maar geen oplossing, want ik boot normaal tot dat win xp wilt loaden en dan zie ik niets meer.

Klinkt drastisch: maar probeer een reinstall:

Je Radeon lijkte me imo gewoon defect.
Na de reinstall je GeForce weer proberen, werkt deze: Probeer dan ook meteen je Radeon even. Wie weet werkt hij nu wel, hoewel ik dit niet echt verwacht.

JA een reinstall is geen optie.

Radeon lever ik morgen weer in mij verkoper.... en ja dan maar op me pa;s pc internetten.
