I have a problem with the link between my minidisk player (Sony MZ-N10) and my pc (Windows XP Pro), and i really hope you can help me with it.
It used to work, I connected the device through the USB wire and the cradle, start SonicStage 1.5 and the music transferred without problems. But yesterday I was transferring my music and I needed to change md's because the one I was using was full, but when I reconnected the device to the cradle, my computer didn't recognise it anymore! There was no "A USB device was connected"-sound and the display of the device doesn't say: "PC ->-> MD" anymore, and i can still use the controls, like the USB wire isn't connected! Also SonicStage says the device isn't connected.
Now the USB wire hasn't had any stress, it's not like it has been pulled hard or aomething like that, so it would be really hard to believe it just broke without any reason for It worked perfectly till that moment.
The device does still work: I can still play all my md's, and I can record, no problem.
The strange thing is: When I pull out the USB plug, for a moment the device DOES say: "PC ->-> MD" on the display!
I also tried to connect to the pc without the cradle, so that's just the USB wire, but that also didn't work.
Now i started to think the software was corrupted, so I got out the cd and installed the NetMD driver again: nothing changed. Then I deinstalled SonicStage, and reinstalled it again: no change. The I went on the internet and found another N10 driver, and installed it: no change. Then I downloaded RealOne, that also didn't work!
I really hope you can help me with this problem, because I honestly don't know what else to do to fix it!
