[crossover plugin]setup fout

Bij het installeren van de crossover plugin ging alles goed, maar bij de setup van de plugins krijg ik een fout:

Unable to get info about installed DLLs:


child process exited abnormally.

Blijkbaar ligt het aan mijn Glibc versie 2.3.1 (uit de doc files) Hier staat ook wat je moet doen om het toch werkend te krijgen, maar dit werkt niet voor mandrake 9.1 Heeft iemand de plugin wel werkend gekregen of moet ik downgraden naar een oudere versie (lijkt me niet, want dan gaan er echt een heleboel programma mee...)

Ik hoop dat dit zo beter is, vrotogel, maar meer info heb ik ook niet.

6.1.1.5. When I click on the 'Configure Now' button or try to start PluginSetup, I get "Unable to get info about installed DLLs"


The most likely cause for this error is the C library version installed on you computer. Specifically, CrossOver Plugin 1.1.3 is incompatible with the glibc 2.3 which is now shipped by default with Debian Unstable (Sid).


The solution is to download an updated libntdll.so library and to install it as follows:


$ gunzip libntdll.so.gz
$ mv ~/crossover/lib/libntdll.so ~/crossover/lib/libntdll.so.orig
$ mv libntdll.so ~/crossover/lib


Note that if you are using Mozilla you will need to force Mozilla to update its plugin cache. To do so, close all Mozilla windows and run the following command, adapting the path as appropriate.


$ touch /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwine.*.so

is uit de crossover/docs/index.html file van 1.2, dus blijkbaar geldt het daar ook voor.
