[NERO] nieuwe optie?

Ik heb net een nieuwere versie van Nero geinstalleerd, en nu staat er naas Track-At-Once en Disk-At-Once ook ineens Disk-At-Once/96 als optie.
Weet iemand wat dit '96' inhoud?

Omdat er nogal wat reclame en popups op die site staan, hier het antwoord:

Those are the subchannels of a cd you mention. There are 8 subchannels, P to W. At first only P and Q were defined in the standards and they are used for time/timing information. Later on, standards like cd-text and karaoke cd's were developped. Subchannel R to W are used for these things, but sometimes R - W are used for other things like copy-protections. (For example libcrypt or Securom who store a digital id in the subchannels.)

So in your case with DAO PQ it means that only uncorrected time/timing information is written to the subchannels. This is also known as DAO 16, meaning 16 bits are uncorrected written, the rest (r-w and errorcorrection on the subchannels) is generated by the writer. DAO PW is also known as DAO 96, meaning 96 bits (all subchannels and errorcorrection) are uncorrected written. For a real 1:1 copy you want DAO96 RAW as the writing mode for your writer.

De enige uitleg die ik via google kan vinden is :

"DAO/96 provides coding for 2352 bytes RAW Data + 96 Bytes P-W Subchannel Data. It allows writing of all subchannel information, including Digital Signatures, CD-Text, ISRC, Catalog Numbers, CD+G, CD+Midi, Gaps, Indices and Crazy TOCs."

Ik neem aan dat DAO die 96 extra bytes niet heeft ...
Ben het vooral tegengekomen in fora waar het ging over bin's te schrijven voor de ps2 en xbox...
