Linksys en Zone alarm

Ik heb zo'n linksys 4-ports routertje, en nou staat er op de doos en in FAQ op de website van Linksys dat er iets gaande is met een key van Zone-labs. Het zou zo moeten zij dat je een serial key van Zone Alarm Pro kan invoeren in je router en dat er dan bepaalde features aan gaan...

Enig idee wat die key doet, en wat er aan gaat of juist uit gaat???

Je kan op die manier voorkomen dat een PC waarop zonealarm niet actief is het internet opgaat. Hetzelfde voor de virusscanner.

Een key van Zonealarm is blijkbaar niet bruikbaar op die router, zie hier een stukje FAQ van de site van Zone Labs :

I have purchased the Linksys/ZoneAlarm Pro bundle and I have a ZoneAlarm Pro license key to enter into my administration panel. Can I enter that license key into a ZoneAlarm Pro license key panel on the workstation?

No, this license key is generated specifically for use on the router.

Volgens mij is je vraag, dat je wilt weten welke extra opties je krijgt als je die bepaalde key in je router inklopt?

Zoals ik hierboven al zei, als je dit gebruikt dan blokt de router je internet toegang als Zonealarm niet draait.
Je kan hiermee bv. voorkomen dat een virus oid. Zonealarm uitschakelt en dan wat op internet gaat doen.
Dit is overigens de enige optie die je erbij krijgt dus of dat echt nuttig is.

Ik heb eea. geprobeerd en het werkt wel maar dus voor 1 PC. Anders moet je hun licensepack aanschaffen.
