Toen ik daarpas mijn nieuwsgroepen updatte kwamen er alleen kleine bestanden binnen

Ik heb wat gezocht en vond dit:

Hello everybody,

Next Monday, there will be a partially news.skynet.be unavailability.
As of 8am in the morning, news.skynet.be will be taken out of
production. Instead, there will be a temporary solution in place, that
will only have new articles available, and not much of "old" articles.

This will probably last until the evening, depending on how fast the
migration of the servers will be processed. Then, during the late
afternoon (or evening in worst case), the new setup will be brought back
in production.

What will happen practically? When the new setup will be put in
production, the article numbers of articles might have changed, or might
change, which will result in you having to reset your newsgroups within
your client.
Most likely, there -will- be incompleteness of "old" binary articles
that were posted during the weekend and/or Monday itself. New binary
articles, should be present on the server, as expected.

These changes are needed, to expand the capacity of our newsservers, due
to several factors, like more news coming in every day, and more
customers that get interested in the newsserver. After these changes,
there will be a significant increase of cached articles which will
result in the newsservers reacting faster, and some more breathing space
for our servers.
