If you need to lock down your computer and absolutely, totally prevent unauthorized access, this device will do the trick! Routing the system's hard drive through this box provides real-time 64-bit DES encryption/decryption to IDE hard drives up to UDMA/100! The device includes two keys, and any hard drive connected to this device can only be seen by the system when one of the keys is plugged into the front of the box! If the hard drive is removed from the system, the data is encrypted and of no use to the thief. As a bonus, you get sound, USB, and a Firewire ports up front, where you can reach them!

Kwam dit tegen bij computer geeks ik heb zelf geen ide schijven meer in mijn hoofdsysteem maar anders had ik er wel een gekocht denk ik.
Is 64bit des encryptie een beetje sterk ? of kan dat zo worden gekraakt ?

met het rc5-64 project hebben ze er een hele tijd over gedaan om de code te kraken, dus ik neem aan dat het best sterk is ja

voor een gewone tweaker vind ik ut een btje overdreven. alsof ik de administratie en finacieel overzicht van ahold op mijn pc heb. maar het staat wel stoer op een lan party...

die firewire en usb ports als bonus zou het enige zijn waar ik het voor zou doen.
