Bootmagic dualboot problem
Who Oh Who can help me with this problem?
I have an 80 Gb HD partitioned as follows:
1x Primair/Active 15 Gb Label WinME – incl OS Win ME
1x Primair/Hidden 15 Gb Label WinXP – incl OS Win XP
1x Primair/Hidden 15 Gb Label Linux – But still empty
1x Extended/Logical 35 Gb

My motherboard is:
ASUS A7V333 Audio, firewire, raid
It has a build in Promise Raid controller. As I do not wish to use the raid controller, I’ve flashed the bios with A7V333-1008U so that the raid connectors are now 2 x IDE connectors. In fact I have now 4 x IDE connectors to use.
When my HD is connected to what used to be a raid connector, Win XP will not install as it cannot see a HD.
So as a solution I moved to HD temporarily to an original IDE connector. Installed XP, disabled the boot.ini file from XP and moved it back to the what used to be the raid connector. I installed Bootmagic as bootmanager on Win ME and although it sees the active OS’es, it still will not start XP.
How can I overcome this problem of no HD recognition on ex raid connector??????
Thanks in advance
