Heeft .net framework 1.1 nu wel of geen ondersteuning voor generics? Op de microsoft site kan ik er niet zo snel wijs uit worden (zoals altijd).

Nee, ik denk het niet. Die zitten afaik slechts vanaf de VS.NET for Yukon erin.

In the ”VS for Yukon” version of the C# language, Microsoft plans to build on an already elegant and expressive syntax by incorporating a variety of features across a broad spectrum of research and industry languages. Included among these language features are generics, iterators, anonymous methods, and partial types.

A.

At the OOPSLA conference on November 7, 2002, C# creator Anders Hejlsberg presented several potential new language features for the next major version of C#. These features, pending community and user feedback, will be made available in the next version of Visual Studio .NET. We currently do not have a planned release date for that product. For more information on future versions of Visual Studio .NET, consult the Microsoft Developer Tools Roadmap 2002–2004

Nee. v2.0 heeft generics, v1.1 is het service pack voor v1.0. v2.0 komt uit wanneer Yukon uitkomt en dat is naar verwachting Q2 2004.

Als je nu al met generics wilt werken in C#, download dan de rotor sourcecode en de generics patch voor rotor.
