All,
I understand this has been a long and hard journey.
I do want to make clear that the basic science that forms a foundation for the CommunityTSC project has made substantial progress over the last year. There are now 6 targets within the TSC pathways that have structure. So far we have prepared 4 of them (including new and potentially more accurate preparations of the two current targets), we have the structure of the 5th and will prepare it soon, and are awaiting the structure of the 6th targets. As you can see on the statistics page, we will in the next few weeks release these new targets, and new libraries.

We are however, doing more testing to make sure this is our best release ever in terms of minimizing disruptions to the lives of our volunteers.
We are also going to be much more communicative with the community. We are going to try to give you: 1) greater reliability and more testing prior to release of new features, 2) more advance warning when we are making major updates that may affect your computer, 3) information on when new targets or libraries are coming, 4) update you when the systems goes down, with expected uptimes 5) faster feedback on individual questions.
While it is clear it has been a huge challenge to migrate responsibility of the CommunityTSC project from Sengent (who through the goodness of their hearts created this website and software, and supported it) we are moving forward with the task and are continuing to bring into TRI the people needed to get the job done (please remember to check our job posting and send the best people you know in our direction).
CommunityTSC is a long term project. We believe, just as computers eventually played chess better then the best people, that over the next few years, the software we run at CommunityTSC will fit drugs into the TSC targets, like a locksmith fits a key. With precision. Allowing us to look computationally at millions of potential drugs for ever 100 we test in our laboratories.
While we have had ups-and-downs on implementing and updating the software for CommunityTSC I want to insure everyone that we are doing the best science available to make drugs for TSC, and set a new standard that will help make drugs for other orphan diseases and unmet medical needs.
Thank you for sticking with us,
Jonathan

Ok, nu word ik echt ziek van die Duitsers.
Ik vind het best als ze allemaal naar Germany willen. Maar dan moeten ze niet weer teruggaan naar hun oude teams...
