[OBSD3.2] UCD-SNMP 4.2.3 enkele problemen

1) wanneer ik in snmpd.conf het volgende zet:

Dan start-ie daarna niet op. Dit is exaxt wat in de manual als voorbeeld staat
agentaddress localhost <- werkt ook niet
agentaddress 161@localhost <- werkt ook niet
hij start gewoon niet op. /var/log/snmpd zegt niks. Debug zegt niks interessants. Iemand dit aan de praat gekregen? Kan natuurlijk wel 161/udp firewallen enzo maar liever gewoon dat-ie alleen intern luistert.

2) het 2de probleem is dat-ie hr* allemaal niet kan vinden. De rest wat ik nodig heb vind-ie wel en SNMPd draait ook gewoon, zonder agentaddress dan.

Ik heb in mijn mrtg.cfg het volgende toegevoegd:
LoadMIBs: /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt
file bestaat ook. Dan nog werkt het niet, hij kan 'm niet vinden:

ik heb exact gedaan wat hier staat. Ik heb ook die ene van dsk* gebruikt. Die werkt, maar ik ben er niet van onder de indruk.

PS: andere SNMPd is geen optie

toen ik snmpd aan het instalerenwas moest ik "--with-mib-modules=host/hr_system" toevoegen met ./configure

damn right bij ports zet je dat in de Makefile
--with-mib-modules=host (zonder hr_system) daarin toevoegen bij configure_args werkte.. thanks probleem #2 opgelost

Argh! Ik heb exact hetzelfde probleem met FreeBSD 4.7-stable en UCD-SNMPd 4.3.2! Weet iemand hoe ik dit kan oplossen?

Jouw snmpd conf is wel klein. Ik zou snmp-conf -basic-conf (naam zal wel nie helemaal kloppen, maar het is zoiets) eens draaien.
Dan komt ie zoiezo goed
