Volgens Computer idee & computer totaal zou de guillemot fortissimo a3d ondersteunen als je de nieuwste drivers hebt gedownload, ik heb gisteren de 2.013 drivers gedownload voor windows 98, maar als ik in halflife een game start geeft hij nog steeds de melding "Aureal 3d init: Failed" Wat vergeet ik, Kan iemand mij hier mee helpen

Download A3D Support Files - Version 3.12 (1.3 MB executable) These drivers will work on any A3D sound card or PC.

These new A3D drivers work on NT 4.0 with the current Vortex 1 and Vortex 2 NT 4.0 drivers. The new A3DAPI.DLL should also provide A2D support for all sound cards on NT 4.0.

This executalbe file contains 5 files along with this Readme:

INSTALLATION

Running the A3DDRIVERS.EXE file will install the drivers automatically. If you need to install these updated files manually for some reason, right click on the A3D.INF file and choose Install. This will copy the A3D.VXD, A3D.DLL, A3DAPI.DLL, and A3DSPLSH.EXE files over to their proper folders, as well as enter some information into your Registry.

Advanced users may wish to rename or delete the A3DAPI.DLL files from their local game folders. This will force the games to use the updated A3DAPI.DLL in the Windows System folder and may result in a performance increase within that title.

Ik heb een terratec dmx xfire 1024...
met de drivers van terratec ondersteunde
de kaart alleen eax 1.0+2.0 en a3d 1.0
toen heb ik voor de gein eens die driver
update gedownload, en ja hoor nu ook
a3d 2.0 + 3.0 ... Ik heb het getest met
Unreal Tournament en Quake 3 Arena en het
werkt met mijn xfire... voordat ik de update
geinstalleerd had deed Quake3 het ook niet,
omdat die A3d 2.0 ondersteunt... Trouwens
Urban Chaos werkt ook met de a3d drivers,
maar daar heb ik wel de a3d dll van vervangen !!! Dit heb ik ook gedaan bij Soldier of Fortune... en ja hoor het werkt !
SOF is toch al zo n cool spel, maar dit maakt het toch nog cooler...
Helaas heb ik Halflife niet getest, omdat ik
die niet heb... Ik hoop dat dit ook bij andere kaarten werkt, want a3d is toch wel
mooier dan eax !!!
