128 gb lock hoe edit ik mijn 180gig in regedit??

oke mijn bios support het ...word herkend als 180 gig in bios
heb een abit th7 II raid (ata100 )
en ik probeer gvd mijn regedit te editten in xp-pro
maar het lukt mij maar niet wat doe ik fout??

Heb je herstart na de regedit

hak em op in 2 partities heb je gelijk een backup schijf als er een virusje in je windows komt

Doe voor de zekerheid eens een Bios update. Het kan zijn dat je bios em wel herkend maar niet initialiseert ofzo

Volgens mijn bescheiden mening kan je met ATA100 een HD groter als 130Gb niet aanspreken omdat hij 48-bit Logical Block Addressing niet aankan. Ik heb hier zelf ook mee te maken gehad en uiteindelijk maar een losse ATA133 controller gekocht. Van de Maxtor site:

kijk mijn moederbord ondersteund het ...en ook in mijn bios staat ie op 180 gig ....dus daar is niks aan de hand en ik heb nieuwste versie maar ik ben bang dat ik mijn reg hackje niet goed is onder xp vandaar dat voorbeeld

niemand anders hier met ervaring hiermee??

ik had 2x80G in raid 0 dus 160G en mijn windows herkende dat gewoon (xp prof corp) heb niet eens een service pack. maargoed het is wel een onboard promise ata 133 raid controller...
