50-pins kabel: passieve of actieve terminator eraan?

Ik postte al eerder dat ik problemen had met het termineren van m'n Toshiba-drive op mijn SE connector vam m'n 29160 SCSI kaart. Telefoontje naar Toshiba en termination van deze drive is gewoon niet in orde (geen garantie, gaat via dealer en deze zit in USA).
Nu wil ik deze drive dus terminaten via een losse terminator. Ik weet alleen niet of ik hiermee kan volstaan met een passieve terminator.....??

Internal SCSI Terminators
Provides termination for an internal SCSI cable or device.

A terminator is a small device designed to dampen electrical signals reflected from the ends of a SCSI cable. Termination is disabled for any SCSI device that is positioned between the two cable ends.

Passive terminators should only be used in Single Ended SCSI-1 systems with short cabling or few devices.
Active terminators are recommended for Single Ended SCSI-2 and are downward compatible with Passive.
Negation terminators are recommended for Single Ended SCSI-3 devices and are downward compatible with Active.
Differential terminators should only be used with High Voltage Differential (HVD) systems.
Multimode LVD/SE terminators are designed for Ultra2 Wide Low Voltage Differential (LVD) systems and are also downward compatible with Single Ended systems.
